Countdown Cal Make Waiting Fun ~ A Review & Giveaway

Is it just me, or does it seem as though the year is FLYING BY?  Seems like just yesterday, I was in my PJs screaming, “Happy New Year”.  Now in a matter of weeks, I’ll be greeting a host of kids saying, “Trick or Treat”.  If you celebrate Halloween, and your kids are anything like mine, I know they are counting down the days before Halloween.  We keep Halloween pretty light around my house.  We put on a fun costume, walk a few blocks, hand out and receive more than our fair share of candy, then we come back home.  My kids are more excited about the build up to Halloween, than they are of the actual day.

Well to help my kids with the buildup, I am so excited about receiving a product called Countdown Cal.  Countdown Cal is a calendar that you start on October 16 – October 31.

Countdown Cal

Every day you/your child opens up a flap (indicated by 1-16), to reveal a special chocolate treat. How fun is this??!!!

Once the treat is revealed and removed, you draw an X over the number in the smile of Countdown Pal (the toothy mascot on the back of the box) to keep track of the days.

On the back of the box is a fun matching game for kids to play. When a day is revealed and a picture is shown, you flip over to the back of the box in search of the matching picture. My kids love playing matching games, so this will be a big hit.

This is what the chocolate looks like once spooky foil has been removed. The chocolate is made in the USA, 50 calories, and certified Kosher.  My thought is, my kids will have their daily fill on chocolates from Countdown Cal, so come Halloween, they won’t have the desire to eat all their candy, and then I can have it…LOL

Beyond getting kids excited about Halloween, the Countdown Cal company believes in giving back to the community through their new “Publicize and Profit” program. The program is a way for schools and groups to raise money for their activities, while sharing the fun of the calendar. Organizations simply enroll for free, and receive a custom fundraiser code. All purchases made using the fundraiser code, will be linked back to their group. They will then get a percentage of those total sales donated to their school/group. With so many school activities losing funding due to budget cuts, a program like this would be a huge benefit.

The folks at Countdown Cal were kind enough to send me a free calendar to review, and want 1 of my lucky readers to have an opportunity to experience their very own Countdown Cal. So be sure to follow the guidelines of my Countdown Cal Giveaway and GOOD LUCK!!
