Asian Chicken & Pork Slider 2

I love coming up with new recipes to share with you guys. Since living in Japan, I’ve developed a fond appreciation for asian food, and try to make it on a regular basis. Recently I made these chicken and pork sliders, and they were so delicious.  I am so happy I get the opportunity to share them with you guys.

I hope you like it!!

Asian Chicken & Pork Sliders

1lb ground pork
1lb ground chicken
salt/pepper (to taste)
1/2Tbsp minced fresh garlic
1/4 cup freshly chopped organic cilantro leaves
1/8 cup sliced green onions (green part only)
red/green chili peppers (optional)

Simmering Sauce

3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons Asian sesame oil
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1 tablespoon dark soy sauce

Mix all ingredients together and form mini patties. Place patties in refrigerator covered for at least 3-4hrs.

Place patties on a broiler pan, and broil patties on both sides until done. You can also grill if you prefer.

While sliders in under broiler, in a bowl mix all ingredients for simmering sauce. Adjust flavors to your liking.  In a saute’ pan add sauce, and place on medium heat. When sauce starts to boil, reduce heat to low and allow to simmer. When sliders are done, remove them from broiler and place in the simmering sauce. Allow to simmer on both sides for a few minutes before removing from pan. Next, place slider on a toasted slider bun. Garnish with a slaw, tossed in a simple lime-honey dressing (2Tbsp lime juice, 2Tbsp olive oil, 2Tbsp sugar, 1 clove garlic (minced), salt/pepper).
