The other day, my kids wanted to have a picnic lunch in our backyard. Initially, I was surprised by their request, since picnicking is not something we typically do. But the more I thought about it, the more their idea of having a picnic in our backyard appealed to me.
So now that we were going to have a picnic in our backyard, I had to think about what I wanted to make. Did I want to make sandwiches, have a cheese, meat, and crackers platter, or did I want to make BBQ chicken and potato salad. All of these options sounded great to me, but since it was their request, I decided to ask my kids for input. Without any hesitation, my kids screamed BBQ chicken!!! So off I went to fulfill their request.
In their LunchBots Duo I packed BBQ chicken wings, dipping sauce, corn on the cob, Japanese potato salad, sliced watermelon, and a Go-GURT. My kids loved it, and our picnic turned out to be a lot of fun.
