Portion Control….Do you practice it?

A month ago I started a diet game with some friends called Diet Bet.  You basically add money to a pot, and whoever loses 4% of their weight in 4 weeks splits the pot.  Sounds simple enough, right?  My first week, was a COMPLETE dud since I was on vacation, and not really concerned with dieting.  My second week, wasn’t much better, but it was CONSIDERABLE better than the first week.  But after the second week, I started to really pay attention, and question what was prohibiting me from losing weight.  I live an active lifestyle.  I feel as though I eat healthy, and not a lot of processed foods.  Then it dawned on me, I wasn’t drinking a lot of water, nor was I really paying attention to how much I was consuming.  That is when I started using these:

Portion Control Plate

Talk about an INSTANT game changer.  These portion control plates are wonderful.  I add the appropriate amount of food into each section, and I’m done.  No overfilling the sections or going back for seconds.  I’ve also started drinking at least 64oz of water a day, as well as juicing with my Breville

Green juiceSo if I am ever hungry after dinner, I just create myself a juice packed with nutrients, to prevent myself snacking too much.  I’m still working on my weight, but I am happy with my current path!!
