My kids eat seaweed like it is candy. They fell in love with it when we lived in Japan. It has been 4 years since we lived in Japan, yet my kids still love seaweed and eat it on a regular basis. Recently, I discovered a non-GMO seaweed snack, and could not wait to learn more about this product.
SeaSnax is a vegan, gluten free, and Non-GMO Project verified roasted seaweed snack. The seaweed is all natural with no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. The seaweed snacks are crunchy, low fat, low cholesterol, sugar free, non-MSG, and made using 100% olive oil and a pinch of sea salt.
SeaSnax comes in full sheets, family-size packages, as well as small convenient packs to throw in a lunch bag. The seaweed can be eaten right out of the bag, used to make rice rolls, or added into favorite soup/salad. It is truly a healthy and delicious snack, perfect for the entire family.
The NatureSnax company was kind enough to send me free samples of their SeaSnax products to try and review. They sent me an assortment of their seaweed in the following flavors (classic olive, wasabi, spicy chipotle, and toasty onion), as well as their seaweed salad mix, and seasprinkles.
Seasnax makes a convenient grab & go seaweed snack pack, that is perfect to add to a lunch box. I packed the SeaSnax classic olive grab & go in my Laptop Lunches lunch box.
SeaSnax seasprinkles are also perfect to add onto a bowl of rice.
The seasprinkles are clusters of seaweed roasted in olive oil, and a little sesame oil to give it a mild nutty flavor. It also has hints of coconut palm sugar, sea salt, and sesame seeds, to balance out the sweet-salty flavor.
I learned to appreciate eating a bowl of white rice with seaweed sprinkled on top, while living in Japan. Now I can hardly eat white rice any other way.
Overall I loved SeaSnax seaweed products. The flavors were not overpowering, and the seaweed had a fresh taste. I also love that they are low calorie (less that 25 calories per serving), contain no MSG, and are non-GMO. My favorite flavors were the classic olive and wasabi. Eating their products brought back fond memories of my life in Japan. I can’t believe it has been 4 years since I’ve lived there. If you are interested in trying SeaSnax, they are be purchased directly from their online store, on Amazon, or from stores in your area.
