Myoatmeal.com ~ A Review

in Breakfast, Product Review

As you know, I have been on a major oatmeal craze lately.  I seriously can’t get enough of it, and I am always trying to come up with new oatmeal creations.  Recently while browsing the web, I stumbled upon a “Healthy Oatmeal” site.  I was intrigued by the name, and decided to browse the site to see what it was all about.  MyOatmeal.com is a custom site that allows you to create your own custom blend of oatmeal and peanut butter powder.  You the customer get to pick the ingredients you want, to make it healthy or as calorie dense as you like.  The company uses no preservatives or artificial flavors/dyes, so you know what you are creating is healthy.  All of the ingredients used to create your custom oatmeal blends are made from all natural whole grain oats, dried fruits, and gourmet oatmeal flavors.

MyOatmeal.com was kind enough to send me a coupon code, so that I could receive products of my choice at a discounted price.

I decided to order their Red Velvet Double Date oatmeal and their German Chocolate PB Lean powder.

Following the instructions on the back of the package, I mixed 1 part oats into 2 parts water, brought to a boil for 2 minutes.  I then reduced the heat to low, and stirred constantly for 5 minutes.  I then removed from heat, and allowed oats to sit for 5 minutes.  I then stirred, placed oatmeal into a bowl, and topped with my favorite toppings.

Red Velvet Oatmeal

I enjoy adding toppings to my oatmeal, so I added sliced bananas, mini chocolate chips, strawberries, and chia seeds to my red velvet double date oatmeal.

Red Velvet Oatmeal 2

I really loved how this oatmeal turned out.

PB Lean is dehydrated peanut butter with 85% less calories from fat.  This peanut butter powder contains peanuts, sugar, and natural flavors.

I love that all you have to do is add water to the dry, dehydrated peanut butter powder and stir.  Once mixed, it turns into a low calorie, low fat, low sodium, gluten free, delicious peanut butter paste.

You can mix the paste into your protein shakes, smoothies, oatmeal, and baked goods.  You can mix PB Lean with jelly or preserves, agave, whipping cream, maple sugar or yogurt for a delicious peanut butter treat!

Since my PB Lean powder was a german chocolate flavor, I decided to add it on top of a rice cake with shredded coconut and mini chocolate chips.

So yummy, and made the perfect afternoon  snack!!

Overall, I enjoyed the products I ordered from MyOatmeal.com. Although I did not create my own custom blend, I loved the two products I received. The flavors were not overpowering, and did not take away from the overall taste of the oatmeal and peanut butter paste. I also loved the fact that the products were made from all natural ingredients, and created once the customer placed the order. Products purchased from MyOatmeal.com are pricer than oatmeal blends purchased at your local grocery store. However, those blends and quality, cannot compare to what is offered at MyOatmeal.com.

If you would like to create your own custom oatmeal/peanut butter blend, you can order directly from their website.

And as a special thank you to my readers, MyOatmeal.com has provided the following discount code for 15% off you order: return15

Enjoy!!
